SLIDE gives our youth company members the platform to grow within the industry and we are determined to nurture our youth to connect with the national and international dance community and then as mentors, to give back to the Territory.

SLIDE instigate and offer training that is more than project based. SLIDES rigorous and determinedly professional rehearsal process allows the youth artists to layer levels of understanding and expertise toward appreciating theatre as an important connector to their community. They learn that there is longevity in the dance theatre world should they wish to pursue that through performance, stage management, lighting and audio work, directing and especially through choreographic and scriptwriting pathways. SLIDE offers a steppingstone toward tertiary study at leading Australian and International institutions.
AUDITIONS
SLIDE Youth Dance Theatre holds auditions once a year, we are always seeking new talent and constantly striving to achieve our audience promise of creating work "by youth, for youth". Currently SLIDE has two seperate companies which include Company One and CoLab. Through our high calibre of mentors, our amazing artistic director Joanna Noonan and our creative consultants Sarah Calver and Julia Quinn, SLIDE assists youth artists in learning performance skills, artistic processes and stage development.
